Slowly working through the manga as well. Please be aware that Knives is not a character type that I usually play, and so I may be shaky with him for some time.

The intention of this character journal is to explore the sliver of possibility that Nai actively attempts to genuinely understand Vash and come at least slightly closer to reconciling with him despite their opposing views.

For this AU, I would prefer:
-Knives had, at most, only connected with Vash in the tank but not gone any further, in a bid to understand in the only way he could grasp rather than dominate.
-The pregnancy-like violation of the other dependent Plants have not occurred.
-The fight for the cube not ending Knives' depicted fate.

Therefore, the start of the divergence is there, in which he opted - for once - to try to work with Vash to dispel the blast. I will default to July still being torched, but we can discuss if we want something different to happen.

I will default to gen (outside of shipping/smut memes) simply because Knives is hard to get close to, since he simply doesn't let anyone really get close. Non-humans will have an easier time of this.

For smut/shipping scenarios, I'm also more than open to exploring how a plantcest ship could tweak matters. However, I won't default to this.

For smut in particular, I'll default that he's a cis-male, but I'm more than open to playing him as a trans-man. I'm also very happy to play him with non-human/plant-like equipment of... basically any variety.
